PIGMENTATION
Sun spots, also known as Solar Lentigos or Liver spots, are flat, brown or black spots that develop on areas of the skin frequently exposed to the sun.
About
Pigmentation
Sun spots typically develop on the face, hands, arms and shoulders. They are most common in older adults. These spots are caused by an accumulation of melanin, the pigment that gives skin its colour. Sun spots are usually harmless and do not require treatment, but some people choose to lighten or remove them for cosmetic reasons.
The treatment is very quick and may only need one laser session. In some cases individuals may need a couple of treatments to achieve the desired end result.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the treatment hurt?
As the laser targets the area, most clients describe the sensation to be a little sharp but not uncomfortable.
Can I numb the area?
Numbing cream isn’t required as the treatment is so quick and almost pain free.
What will it look like after?
After your treatment, it is very common for the area to go darker, this is normal.
After a few days, the area will form a crust and eventually come off. This usually takes 4-7 days.
Once this happens, fresh skin will appear with a reddish / pink tone and after that. Over the next weeks / months, your skin will then return back to its normal tone.
Do I need to put any aftercare on it?
Yes, we will provide you with the correct aftercare products here in clinic.
What about sun exposure?
The best time to start this treatment would be in the colder seasons and avoiding upcoming trips away which the area can be exposed to sun.
After your treatment, we strongly advise to use a good SPF (50) and make it your daily routine.
