Laser Tattoo Removal
Here at Skiin Laser Clinic we use medical grade, gold standard equipment to ensure your treatment is carried out correctly and safely by our trained professional. No single laser can remove all colours which is why the Asclepion NanoStarC MT boasts 3 wavelengths which includes a Ruby laser to tackle blue and green inks also.
Wavelengths:
1064 – Black Ink
532 – Red, Purple, Orange, Brown & Yellow Inks
694 (Ruby) – Blue, Green & Black Ink
In addition to our laser device, we also pair it with the Cryo Cooler which blows out -20 degrees air to effectively cool the skin before, during and after your laser treatment. This allows for a safer and more comfortable treatment with excellent results, whether your aim is complete removal or fading ready for a coverup tattoo.

How it works
Laser tattoo removal works by sending highly concentrated beams of light into the dermis to break down the ink particles.
Recovery Time
In most cases 2/3 days of redness and possible swelling in the treated area. Light bruising can also happen on most sensitive areas.
Treatment Frequency
Tattoo removal treatments are spread out every 10-12 weeks and semi permanent make up every 4 weeks.

Pre-Treatment Advice
Pre-treatment instructions
When taking a first time booking, it is advisable to inform the client as follows:
• Avoid the sun 4 – 6 weeks before treatment
• Avoid sun exposure throughout the treatment duration to reduce the chance of hyperpigmentation or other side effects
• Avoid spray tanning from two weeks prior to treatment
• Always use sunscreen (SPF 50+) when exposed to the sun
• Shave if the tattoo is covered by a lot of hair
Please note:
• Avoid swimming in strong chlorinated water immediately before
• Avoid wearing tight clothes when attending treatment sessions
• Hydrate the body by drinking plenty of water.
• Do not wear makeup to your appointment on the day.
• Do not take ibuprofen or aspirin before your treatment- may cause bruising

Post Aftercare Advice
Aftercare Advice
• keep the skin cool
• apply after laser soothing product – (YaYo Serum recommended by Skiin Laser Clinic) light layer, first 4 – 5 days, once per day
• use soothing product of choice daily until the next treatment if you are prone to scarring
• avoid excessive heat in the skin for 24-48 hrs (exercise, hot bath or shower, sauna)
• avoid swimming for 5 days post treatment
• do not expose the treated area to the sun between appointments
• use SPF 50+ when in the sun as well as protective clothing
• do not pick or scratch
• avoid injury to the skin
• the treated area may feel hot and slightly sunburned, apply cold packs (5 mins on, 10/15 mins off) repeat this 3-4 times
• the treated area may remain red & raised for a few days up to a few weeks
In case of blisters or crusting:
• do not puncture blister, let them reabsorb or break on their own
• keep the area covered with a dressing
• don’t pick or scratch, you may cause infection or scarring
• avoid exposure to chemicals (swimming, hot tubs etc.)

Aftercare Advice
• the treated area will show some redness and may feel warm, this is usually only for 1 – 2 hours
• apply the aftercare serum supplied once per day for the next 3 – 5 days to help hydrate and soothe treated area
• use SPF 50+ when in the sun – avoid active sunbathing whilst undergoing treatment
• do not apply make up on the treated area for at least 2 days
• avoid excessive heat in the skin for 24 – 48 hrs (exercise, hot baths or showers)

Frequently Asked Questions
How many sessions will I need?
On average 8-12 are required. At your consultation a more accurate number will be shared once the tattoo has been examined.
How long do I have to wait in between sessions?
10-12 weeks
Can I have the area covered with a new tattoo?
Yes absolutely! We advise you to wait a minimum of 6 months after your last laser treatment.
Do I need to put some sort of cream on it after?
Yes, it’s super important to use an ointment or serums after laser. The only product we recommend to use is YaYo laser serum which has beens specifically designed for after laser tattoo removal. This can we purchased in the clinic.
Can I go in the sun / holiday in between my laser treatments?
We advise to keep the area away from the sun and tan free. If you are unable to do this due to the area, we ask to wait 8 weeks post sun exposure to the area before returning back for treatment, if the area is still tanned after this amount of time, we ask to wait for your tan to go / your skin tone to return back to normal.
Will I bleed / blister?
Laser should not be breaking skin and causing bleeding.
Blistering can sometimes happen and is more common in coloured inks. We breakdown these types of inks a different way to black to avoid this from happening.
Can you treat all skin colours?
Yes! As our device is medical grade, we have the ability to treat all skin colours.
